So right

I was on a walk with my dog yesterday morning and some moron had his staffy loose outside. It wouldnt be a problem if my dog wasnt a nervous dog. The staffy wanted to play aggresively with me. My dog, a bit smaller than her would have shredded that poor staffy. Then the bich screams out her window "Careful with my dog!" I yelled back, bich pick your dog up before my dog tares it in half. The whole time I was pulling my dogs leash up to lift her front paws from the ground so she couldnt lunge at him. I cant scream at her dog cuz If I do mine will go berzerk and my dog is heavy and strong, pit boxer mix.

Dog food makes a big difference. My wife’s grandmother’s dog was super aggressive to everyone all the time to the point that when my mother-in-law took the dog into the vet, the vet offered to put the dog down- even during routine visits. After the dog passed, she gave us some of the leftover food that the aggressive dog was eating, and we gave it to our dog who immediately became similarly aggressive. When we discarded the food, he regained his gentle personality within a couple days.

I would love to see videos on food desperate dogs. My dogs act like they are starving, when they have plenty of food. My dog will lay by the dog food container for hours and hours. It’s pitiful.

Funny how certain breeds innately doing certain things. Off leash and I let my dog go hunt mode… but my dog always stays in eye contact with me, or immediately around me. If he goes into the woods he’s back in under 45sec.. my dog tracks with me, but will either stop or return to me if he see another person/dog. So, in my case.. the hunt mode works bc he’s not concerned with people or other dogs he hunting Rabbits. Agreed, on a busy trail I can’t let my dog off leash, it really depends on the location.
